Introduced in 1936 as the mandatory dress sidearm for the Reichbund Deutsche Jagerschaft, which had become a uniformed organization under Goring's direction. Regulation pattern, with a 13 3/4 inch blade, etched with game scenes and scrollwork on both sides, a vine pattern on the spine, Alcoso (Solingen) makers mark on the left ricasso and "Fur Verdienste/ um das/ Jagdhornblasen" on the right, which translates roughly to "For Services to Hunting Horn Blowers". Silver guard and pommel, with hoof shaped dual ricassos, ribbed clamshell, and one piece stag grip with the Nazi-era logo in silver. Green leather sheath, with leather frog and silver throat, tip and acorn shaped frog stud.

Very good, with a dark patina forming on the blade, well defined etching, a mixed aged patina on the silver, cracking on the frog and mild wear on the sheath leather.
