The left side of the slide is marked "P.38 6089n ac 43", next to the serial number and the right side of the slide is stamped with "eagle/359" proofs flanking an "eagle" firing proof. Matching numbers, with proper repetition of the eagle proofs. Grips are ribbed brown plastic and the "P.38v" magazine is marked "eagle/ 135" on the spine. With an unmarked black pebbled leather flap holster and a capture certificate from the European Theater, dated 21 November 1945 and made out to Lieutenant Robert Bauman.

Excellent, with approximately 97% of the original blue finish, showing the start of a brown patina on the front strap, bright edge wear and a few mild handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with a few tiny dings. The holster is fair, with some cracking and wear, strongest on the tip and flap. Mechanically excellent.
