The slide is marked with the model, "ac/ 43" (stacked), and the serial number on the left side of the slide, the right has the eagle/swastika firing proof between two "eagle/ 359" proofs. The "359" proof is repeated on the left of the frame behind the serial number, left side barrel lug and the right side of the locking block, the swastika proof is on the left side of the locking block and "588" on the bottom. All numbers match. The grips are serrated red Bakelite with lanyard staple and the magazine is marked "P.38v" on the left side and proofed on the spine.

Excellent. The pistol retains 85% of the blue finish with thinning at the muzzle and on the slide with light edge wear. The frame shows 85% original blue finish with some thinning and edge wear with the front grip strap aged to a smooth gray intermixed with a spotty brown patina. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks throughout. Mechanically excellent.
