Description:

This is a solid example of a 1906 Commercial Luger with the distinctive "AMERICAN EAGLE" crest on the chamber. Directly under the frame serial number it is marked "GERMANY" and it is fitted with a nickel plated wood base magazine with concentric circle designs on the sides. The trigger, thumb safety, breakdown switch, and magazine release are done in a "straw" finish, while the toggle pin and grip screws are finished in a heat blue. The full serial number is located on the frame and the bottom of the barrel. Partial serial numbers are stamped on the side plate, takedown latch and rear toggle link. Polished lower safety position and "LOADED" marked extractor. Grips are checkered walnut.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains approximately 97% plus original blue finish with gray on the high edges and some minor thinning on the grip straps. The small parts retains over 85% of the straw finish. The grips are fine with exception of a couple minor gouges and some minor dings with a chip of wood missing under the safety lever. Most of the checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
