Description:

First Model, fitted with the early pattern telescoping winding lever. The magazine top and bottom are marked with the makers' code, "B/N" (Gebruder Bing, Nurnberg), and the serial number, "40185". The top of the drum lacks concentric reinforcing ribs found on later magazines. A "Crown/S" proof mark is stamped on the upper left side of the magazine column. The numbers "12", "17", "22", "27" and "32 are stamped around the circumference of the magazine bottom. With a non-factory custom made steel bar shaped into a bar used to depress spring.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with approximately 90% original blue with the balance a mixed brown and gray patina. Markings sharp. Telescoping mechanism works fine. Spring is strong.
