Description:

The top of the barrel extension is dated 1917 and the toggle has the "DWM" makers mark, with export mark "MADE IN GERMANY" stamped over the Imperial-era proofs on the barrel extension. At one time exported for commercial sale in U.S. after World War I. Blade front and tangent rear sights with the front sight lowered and the elevator absent from the rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the barrel, rear sight, frame, and extension, along with matching partial numbers on the locking bar, side plate, trigger, sear, safety components, extractor and toggle links. Proper "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings on the upper safety area and extractor, and the stock lug has been ground down. Checkered hardwood grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine as modified (stock lug cut off), with 75% of the original blue, showing edge wear, a brown patina on the grip straps, pitting in the exposed areas and scattered minor handling marks. Grips are very good, showing moderate wear, with light dents. Mechanically excellent.
