This is a solid example of a 1906 Commercial Luger with the distinctive "American Eagle" crest on the chamber. Directly under the frame serial number it is marked "GERMANY" and it is fitted with a nickel plated wood base magazine. The trigger, thumb safety, latch, grip screws and magazine release are done in a "straw" finish, while the toggle pin is finished in a heat blue. The full serial number is located on the frame and the bottom of the barrel, and matching partial serial numbers are stamped on the side plate, takedown latch, trigger and rear toggle link. Polished lower safety position and "LOADED" marked extractor.

Very fine, with 80% of the faded, thin original blue finish, showing some mild high edge wear, some dings and extensive pitting on the grip straps and the rear of the frame, with light handling marks overall. Approximately 40% of the original straw colors remain. Grips are very good, with numerous pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
