This is a nice example of a P08 Luger dated "41" on the chamber and marked "byf" on the toggle. The left side of the barrel extension is marked with the serial number and the left rear of the frame is marked "P08". The extractor and safety are marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" respectively. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number over the suffix "u" and the right side of the barrel extension is marked with two German "eagle / 655" proof marks followed by the firing proof. The firing proof is marked on the right rear of the barrel, the left rear is marked with an "eagle / 655" proof, and the bottom is marked with the matching serial number and "8.84". The German firing proof also appears on the left side of the toggle and almost all of the small components and the inside of each grip panel are marked with the partial serial number "51". Blue unmarked magazine with aluminum base numbered to another gun, stock lug on the backstrap and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Complete with an unmarked brown leather shoulder holster for a Model 1911A1 45 semi-automatic pistol.

Excellent. The pistol retains approximately 97% of the original blue finish with wear on the muzzle and high edges and some scattered pin prick type pitting scattered overall on the barrel. With the exception of a repaired crack in the upper left panel, the grips are fine with some wear on the lower edges, several minor dings and bruises on the right panel and overall crisp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The holster is very good.
