The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top of the barrel and left side of the toggle. The bottom of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number over "8.83". Most small components are marked "01". The safety and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN", respectively. 'Straw' colored small components. The sights are a fixed front and notch rear. The backstrap has the stock lug. The magazine is a correct nickel plate WWI version with wood base numbered to another gun. Fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains approximately 90% slightly faded original blue finish with wear on the barrel and high edges. There are some areas of minor pitting on the barrel, barrel extension and left side plate, and light spotting on the grip straps and trigger guard. The small components retain 75% of the original straw color. The grips are excellent with a few scattered minor dings and dents, and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
