First imported in 2000, this shotgun features blue barrels, trigger guard and break lever, and silver grayed, scalloped Anson & Deeley box lock action and forearm hardware. The action is engraved with relief scroll patterns with wooded game bird scenes on the sides and the Suhl logo on the bottom. The lower left rear of the receiver is signed "O WEI/S" in a banner. Solid concave matte rib with a single brass bead sight marked "No. 4 of 100" in a panel near the breech. The left barrel is import marked over "GEBR. MERKEL SUHL / MADE IN GERMANY". 2 3/4" chambers, choked modified/improved cylinder with Holland & Holland type ejectors. There are two bands of a simple interlocked circle pattern around the breech end of the barrels. Automatic tang mounted safety, Greener cross bolt, double under lugs, double triggers and mounted with petite frame, high gloss finished, Luxury Grade checkered English walnut splinter forearm with engraved hardware and straight grip stock with a black plastic Merkel buttplate. Length of pull approximately 14 3/8". Complete in a green pebble grain leather hard takedown case with leather end and corner protectors, a leather strap in the center, leather carrying handle, brass hardware and hunter green velvet lining with a leather Merkel label affixed to the inside of the lid. Keys to the case and nickel snap caps come in the case.

Near new with only the slightest handling marks. The stock is excellent. There is what appears to be a flaw in the finish on the buttstock which makes the finish look lighter in areas, otherwise there are only light handling marks. The case is excellent with some light scuffs on the leather end protectors.
