This shotgun features a single bead sight on a solid matte rib and barrels with modified and improved modified chokes with ejectors. The barrels are marked "VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD" and "US AGENTS NEW YORK". The extensive and finely scroll engraved box lock side plate action features a pair of pigeons on the side plates and underside. Both sides of the action are marked "A. FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE LIEGE BELGIUM". The fine scroll engraving extends to the forearm hardware, break lever and trigger guard. The trigger guard also features an engraved game bird. Tang safety and single trigger, with a checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with grip cap and a leather covered recoil pad. Length of pull is approximately 14 1/2 inches. Complete with a leather bound locking hardwood takedown case with brass corner protectors and green felt lining. Included is a pair of incorrect 12 gauge nickel plated snap caps, a key and a cleaning rod with attachments. The inside of the lid has a Boss & Company paper label.

Very fine. The shotgun retains over 95% slightly thinning blue finish with some minor muzzle and forearm wear. The frame and forearm hardware retain approximately 60% vivid and bright case colors with the balance a smooth gray patina. The wood is excellent with some minor dings and scratches. The checkering is crisp. The fine engraving is clear. The case is good plus with the leather having minor age cracking and some minor dings. The new lining is excellent with some light wear. The label has an even aged color with a couple minor wrinkles. The label is complete with clear printing.
