Description:

This is an early WWII M1 carbine as manufactured by the Inland Div of General Motors for the US Army. The carbine was subsequently rebuilt and upgraded with later production parts and subsequently fitted with a commercial Owens hard plastic fore stock and hand guard with a sliding metal stock. The front and rear sections of the receiver have the standard markings with the various late production components, such as the type three barrel band with bayonet lug, the round bolt, stamped adjustable rear sight, flip safety, and M2 style magazine catch. The sock is marked inside Owens Stock Company, Independence Mo., the steel sliding butt stock, slides in and out similar to the US M3 grease gun. It is complete with one blue 30 round magazine and a black nylon sling. The carbine has a light gray GI style arsenal re-parkerized finish.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 99% of the arsenal reparkerized finish with just some minor edge and high spot wear. The stock is also in excellent condition with minimal wear or use.
