This is a late production Remington rifle manufactured in 1942. The top of the receiver is marked " US / REMINGTON / MODEL 1903" over the serial number, the barrel is marked "RA over the ordnance bomb, over 10-42". It has the hooded front sight and ladder rear sight graduated to 2700 meters and a war time 1903 replacement scant grip with a boxed "P" rebuild proof in the grip area. Complete with a brown leather military style sling.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% of the wartime reparkerized finish. The bolt retains almost all of the original dark blue finish showing some thinning from normal usage. The stock is excellent, the hand guard is a bit darker in color than the stock and there are a few overall scattered minor dings, and dents. The sling is very good. The action is excellent.
