This is a nice example of a WWII M1 Carbine as manufactured by Winchester that was subsequently converted to the M2 "Fully Automatic" configuration and fitted with a M1A1 Paratrooper Stock. Blade front and "I.R.Co." adjustable rear sights, with a Type III barrel band on the "W" marked barrel, standard "M1" model markings on the receiver ring, and "WINCHESTER" under the rear sight. Round bolt, switch safety and magazine catch marked "IH". The selector switch is mounted on the forward left hand side of the receiver, and is fully functional. Smooth varnished pistol grip stock, high wood configuration, with two rivet upper handguard, "OG" on the left side above the grip, and folding wire buttstock with leather cheekpiece and cast folding buttplate. With a 30-round magazine, U.S. PAL M4 bayonet, and U.S. M8A1 sheath. Arsenal refurbished, with 85% of the original parkerized finish, showing some mild handling marks and fading overall. The stock is very good as revarnished, with some scattered varnish loss and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
