Description:

WWI Model 1903 Springfield rifle made for the Pederson Device. The barrel is marked "SA / ordnance bomb / 1-20" and the receiver is marked "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903 / MARK I / 1188199". It has standard blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,800 yards, adjustable for elevation and windage. It is fitted with the original Mark I stock, with finger grooves, the lowered stock line below the ejection part, with scarce boxed "CHJ" cartouche on the left side and circled "P" proof in the pistol grip. Complete with a leather military sling.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The rifle retains approximately 95% of the original thinning/ faded parkerized finish. The stock is good with overall scattered minor dings, dents and gouges associated with a service weapon. The markings remain sharp and clear. The action is excellent.
