This is an example of a WWII M1 Garand manufactured by Springfield Armory in 1943 and later overhauled for the Korean War. The barrel is marked "SA F6535448 1 55 A222C" and "P", and the rear of the receiver has the standard four line marking over the serial number. The rifle is fitted with a bayonet lug and stacking swivel, and a trigger shoe has been installed. Standard sights and one piece pistol grip stock with hand guard with a faint circled "P" in the grip and faint Defense Department stamp on the left side, cupped checkered buttplate with compartment and leather sling marked "MRT / 12-86".

Arsenal refurbished showing 95% parkerized finish remaining with some edge wear. The stock refinished shows only a few light dings and handling marks. The sling is very good with some minor age cracking, some light stains and tight stitching. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
