This is an example of a WWII M1 Garand rifle as manufactured by Winchester. This rifle has the standard markings on the receiver. It has a mix of some WWII Springfield parts that are marked as follows. Receiver leg D28291-2, op rod D35382 9 SA, trigger assembly D28290-14-SA, barrel 3-S-A-2-44 and bolt D28287-I.W.R.A. It is fitted with a late production walnut stock and hand guard set, with a boxed "S.A. / G.A.W." cartouche followed by the cross cannon cartouche and "RA-P" on the left side and a single circled "P" proof in the pistol grip area. The right side of the butt stock is stenciled "297" in gold paint. Complete with a green canvas sling and shipping box.

Arsenal overhauled with approximately 90% of the reparkerized finish remaining. The stock is good with a small heavier gouge on the lower left forearm and the top of the hand guard, numerous pressure dents and some minor dings and scratches normally associated with a service weapon. The sling is very good. The markings are legible. The action is good.
