This pistol was retained by Colt in the factory archives as an example of the model to be produced. Features fixed white, three dot sights on a slightly raised serrated rib with a polymer frame, checkered grip straps, oversized trigger guard with a section of checkering on the front and checkered polymer grips with silver plated Rampant Colt medallion inlays. Complete with a red Colt factory box numbered to the gun, one 15 round magazine and a factory letter explaining that the pistol is an experimental pre-production prototype that was kept by Colt until 2008.

Excellent. The slide retains 99% of the original blue finish with a few light scratches scattered overall. The polymer frame and grips are excellent with light handling marks overall. The number "4" has been etched onto the floor plate of the magazine and again on the body of the magazine.
