Description:

Produced by Colt, this pistol was submitted to the Springfield Arsenal (for testing), where it was subjected to a 5000 round test series before being returned to Colt, where it became part of the factory archive collection. The factory letter included with the pistol confirms the features and the pistol's experimental status. Lowered blade front and fixed notch rear sights, with the one line Hartford address on the right side of the slide, "9MM/ PARA" on top of the chamber, and the serial number on the right side of the frame. Serrated spur hammer, trigger, slide catch thumb safety and arched mainspring housing, with Rampant Colt imprints on the checkered grips. In a Colt leatherette box with proper internal markings.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with approximately 85% of the original finish, showing bright wear along the edges, a smooth gray patina forming on the grip safety, scratching on top of the slide and mild handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with mild pressure dents. Box is very good, with the lower half of the end label absent and mild edge wear. Mechanically very good.
