Produced in 1971, this is the Colt Commander with the extra-light alloy frame, chambered for the 30 Luger cartridge. Fixed sights, with "COLT COMMANDER MODEL" on the right side and caliber and model markings on the left. Ring hammer, with serrated trigger, slide stop, manual safety and mainspring housing. Grips are checkered plastic with Rampant Colt imprints. Very few examples remain in the US as 95% of production was shipped to Italy as a special order from Colt. With Colt factory letter, which confirms the features of the pistol, its status as a Colt factory sample and display piece, and a Colt wood grain box.

Excellent, with 96% of the original finish, showing bright wear along the edges and scattered light scratches. Grips are excellent, with sharp checkering. Box is very good, label absent with mild edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
