Manufactured in 1928. Standard markings, with the 1926 patent date. Patridge front and adjustable windage rear sight, checkered grip straps and trigger and large smooth round cylinder latch. Replacement checkered grips with silver Colt medallions.

Excellent as partially refinished (cold blue on muzzle and trigger guard). The pistol retains approximately 90% original blue finish with gray patina on some of the high edges, a noticeable drag line and gray patina forming on the trigger guard and on the barrel sides strongest near the muzzle. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured in 1924. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the two line address/patent marking on top and "COLT / Army / Special / 38" on the left side. The frame has the Rampant Colt on the left side, "VP" and "3" on the trigger guard.

Excellent. The revolver retains 85% plus original blue finish with some gray on the high edges, a noticeable cylinder drag line and a mixed gray patina on the backstrap. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches, with overall crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp.
