Manufactured in 1940. This pistol has the standard two line address and patent marking on the left side of the barrel, "THE WOODSMAN" on the left side of the frame and "COLT / AUTOMATIC / CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the "Rampant Colt" on the left side of the slide. Fixed blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Fitted with checkered walnut grips and complete with a factory box.

Excellent. The pistol retains approximately 99% of the original high polish blue finish with only very minor nicks in a small area on the trigger guard and a very confined area under the barrel. The remainder of the pistol looks as new with only a few light handling marks. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with some wear on the corners, tattering of the paper and the inside shows some fabric is separating from the box.
