Manufactured in 1938, the first year of production. Pinned blade front sight and fully adjustable rear target sight. Flat sided heavy barrel marked with the two line Hartford address/patent marking on top. Standard Match Target logo on the left side of the barrel followed by "THE WOODSMAN" and standard caliber marking with Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide. Fitted with checkered elongated "Elephant Ear" grips with Colt medallions and a two-tone magazine marked "COLT WOODSMAN / CAL .22 L.R. / MATCH TARGET MOD." on the base. Complete with a brown leather flap holster marked "1309B / 22 6 1/2" on the single belt loop.

Excellent, retaining over 98% original blue finish with limited gray on some of the high edges and some light handling marks. The grips are excellent with some mild dings and scratches. The checkering is crisp. The holster is fine with some mild flaking and tight stitching.
