This excellent example of a Model 1908 vest pocket pistol was manufactured in 1924. Blade and notch sights in a matte groove on top of the slide, with "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. / PAT'D AUG.25,1896,APR. 20,1897, DEC. 22, 1903, JAN.25,1910,JULY 31,1917" on the left side, with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 25" under the ejector housing. Trigger guard is stamped "89" on the right side, "VP" on the left, with casehardened trigger and safeties. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt and "COLT" in a banner and a two toned magazine marked "'CAL. 25 / COLT". Complete with black box correctly hand numbered to the gun on the bottom and a small hand written label ("6182") on the side label (most of the original label is visible). Included is the original instruction sheet.

Excellent plus with 99% original blue finish with some scattered light scratches and an extremely small patch of light spotting on the back of the frame. The trigger and safeties retain most of the vivid and bright case colors. The grips are also excellent plus with a few light handling marks and crisp checkering. The box is very fine with minor wear and paper loss along the lid edges. A lid edge has separated, but overall the box is solid.
