Description:

A scarce example of the very desirable combat knife issued to the 1st and 2nd Marine Raider Battalions and the 1st Marine Division. The Raider Stiletto was patterned after the British Fairbairn-Sykes fighting dagger. The knife has a 7 1/8" long, double edged bright blade with a tapered point. The blade lacks the "USMC" etching and manufacturer's markings found on most U.S.M.C. stilettos. The stiletto has a cat, zinc-aluminum, oval cross-guard and checkered grip. The lightweight, russet leather sheath has a belt hook, belt slots, steel reinforcing staples on the throat and twelve nickel plated reinforcing rivets on the body.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The blade is bright with nearly all of the original polish. The grip and cross-guard are in perfect condition. The sheath is excellent with minor wear.
