Description:

Booth & Company operated out of Sheffield's Norfolk Works in the last quarter of the 1800's. 7 1/2"blade, spear point and double edged, with the ricasso marked "H.C. BOOTH&Co/ SILVER STEEL" on one side. Tang is full length, with the grips consisting of a pair of brass base plates with dual quillion cross guards, to which are mounted raised silver accent plates at the guard and pommel, decorated with leaf patterns on the former and a crowned globe with crescent accents and grape bunches on the latter, and stag scales, mounted with an oval inscription plate on one side.

Rating Definition:

Good. Some mild pitting is visible on the blade, which has a mixed bright gray patina overall, darker on the tang. The silver components show some dents and a dark patina in the protected areas. Grips are very good as slightly undersized.
