Single bead sight on a concave solid rib marked with an illegible Foster address. Scroll engraved hammers, lock plates, under barrel lever and trigger guard, with lock plates featuring a dog on the left and rabbit on the right, with both sides marked "J.H. FOSTER & CO". The oversized trigger guard is skeletonized to accommodate the barrel lever. Checkered Schnabel horn tipped forearm with wedge key and pistol grip stock with scroll engraved grip cap, buttstock initial plate and iron buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Good. Overall the shotgun has a smooth brown-gray patina with evidence of being cleaned at one time. The barrels have extensive minor spotting, with some traces of Damascus pattern on the solid rib. A chip is absent on the barrel wedge. The freshened wood is very good with the exception of some minor dings and scratches and smooth checkering.
