Description:

Active in the late 1800s, Deakin, Reuss & Co operated out of Sheffield's Tiger Works, which stand to this day. 9 1/4" blade, with 5 inch false edge, spear point blade, and the "SPECIAL/ TIGER" mark on the left side flanked by "DEAKIN REUSS & Co" and "SHEFFIELD". German silver oval cross guard, 2 1/2" wide, with full tang and riveted stag grips with lanyard hole.

Rating Definition:

Good. Some cleaned pitting is visible on the blade, with spotting and handling marks, a dark brown patina on the tang, a fine aged color forming on the guard, and a green residue in the lower areas of the grips.
