Description:

Blade is 7 7/8" inches in length, with a spear point, 4" false edge, and "JOHN BULL & Co/ SHEFFIELD" on the left ricasso. One piece silver cross guard, with oval quillions and a short collar. Tang is full length, with a pair of stag grip panels and a thin silver inscription plate on the left side. Blue/green leather covered sheath, with bronze colored decorative highlights and silver throat and tip.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The blade shows some very light spotting and frosting, with a gray patina on the tang. Guard is very good, with scuffs and a mixed patina. Grips are slightly undersized, with a crack in the right side. Sheath is fair, with scuffing concentrated along the edges and light wear on the metal.
