Description:

Operating out of Derbyshire, England, Corsan Denton Burdekin & Company was one of the firms to feed the massive demand for sidearms generated by the American Civil War. Blade is 4 7/8 inches long, with a spear point, double edges and "CORSAN/ DENTON/ BURDEKIN & CO" on both sides of the ricasso. Copper hand guard with silver decorative plates, showing raised leaf patterns, and additional silver plates on the pommel with matching designs. Grip panels are smooth mother of pearl. With a brown leather sheath.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The blade shows a mixed patina, pitting, and some chipping of the edge, while the silver parts show a fine aged color and some minor scuffing on the pearl. Sheath is fair, tip and throat absent, with some mild scuffing.
