Approximately 17 inches long. The horn has a well executed simple scrimshawed vine and leaf carving surrounding the inscription: "SECOND / DIVISION / L.G.D." It features an iron spout with a 3" diameter wood base that houses the threaded wood base plug. Complete with a canvas carrying cord.

Very good. The horn has scattered minor scratches. There are several chips near the base and a drilled hole in the middle near the base. The base has some minor wear, but is solid. The base threading for the plug is smooth and the spout is slightly loose and does not latch close. The hand carving is clear.
