Description:

1) US Cavalry Saber with Scabbard. Faint blade etching, no markings on the ricassos. OAL: 41" with a 35 1/4" blade. 2) US Ames M1860 Cavalry Saber. "AMES MFG. CO./CHICOPEE" and "US/JH/1861". OAL:35 1/2 with a 29 1/4" blade. 3) US Sword. "US/NWP" marked on the ricasso. OAL: 37" with a 31 3/4" blade.

Rating Definition:

1) Good overall as refinished, cleaning evidence, dings on the cutting edge and scattered spotting. Scabbard has brown patina throughout, and scattered oxidation. 2) Fair overall, brown patina throughout, dings on the cutting edge, tip broken off and absent. Grip is cracked. 3) Fair overall with brown/grey patina throughout, large chip on the cutting edge near the tip and oxidation throughout.
