Manufactured in 1958. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the two line Winchester address, "-WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK-" and "MODEL 61 - 22 L. RIFLE.-FOR SHOT ONLY". The Winchester oval proof is marked on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech, bead front sight, no provisions for a rear sight and the top of the receiver is grooved for scope mounting. Mounted with a 17 groove flat bottom forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with a black plastic checkered Winchester buttplate. The rifle is complete with the original box numbered to the gun with divider, waxed paper, hanging tag and instructions.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% plus original finish with some bright wear on the slide arm from normal cycling of the action. The wood is also excellent with some barely noticeable scratches on the stock. The markings are sharp. The box is very fine.
