"BEST FLUID STEEL" marked barrels with serial number on the flat. The action, break lever and trigger guard are engraved with broad leaf vine designs. The left side of the action has an oval panel with a gold inlaid pheasant in a field scene and a gold inlaid snipe in a field scene on the right side, and there is a diamond and dot design on the fences. The bottom of the action is marked "MADE IN U.S.A./ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA, N.Y.". The water table is marked with the serial number and "5/12". Casehardened action, break lever and blue remaining parts. Single gold Miller trigger, cocking indicators, tang mounted safety and mounted with a nicely figured high gloss, finely Fluer de Lis checkered short beaver tail walnut forearm with ebony forend insert and pistol grip stock with checkered scallop border flats, grip cap, solid recoil pad and gold initial shield. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches.

Excellent. The barrels retains 98% plus original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear. The trigger guard retains 95% original blue finish with some edge wear and a couple tiny dings. The action retains 90% plus original case colors in protected areas with a smooth attractive gray patina on the balance. The wood is very fine with the varnish showing signs of beginning to craze, otherwise a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
