This is an elaborately embellished example of a DHE Grade Parker Bros. shotgun commissioned by Pachmayr Gun Works. Originally manufactured in circa 1929, this shotgun has been completely refurbished and custom embellished. The engraving was done by Boucher and is signed on the lower right side of the frame. The Parker Bros. Overload Proved barrels, trigger guard, break lever, safety lever and forearm latch are blue with the action, side plates and forearm hardware casehardened. The shotgun has an ivory front and steel mid bead sights on the vent rib with an extension marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL" with inward pointing arrows at each end. The breech end of the barrels feature a 3 1/2" wedge of floral scroll engraving with a gold relief duck on the left side and a gold relief quail on the right side in the center. The muzzle ends have a 1 inch wedge of the same engraving design. The action is engraved with floral scroll designs. The side plates are relief engraved wooded scene on the left side, with a gold relief hunting dog flushing three gold relief quails and the right side is a relief marsh scene with a gold relief hawk grabbing a gold relief duck with two others flinch away. The bottom of the action is marked "PARKER BROS/BY PACHMAYR" in gold. The trigger guard plate has a wooded scene with a gold relief hunting dog flushing two gold relief quail. The trigger guard is floral scroll engraved with a gold relief quail in a circle. The serial number is on the lower tang, in gold. The skeletonized break lever is also floral scroll engraved and the upper tang has a diamond design with scroll border. The water table is marked with the patent date on the right side and "DH/233431/3" on the left. Single trigger with selector mounted next to it, with gold "L" and "R", tang mounted safety with gold "SAFE" and mounted with extra fancy walnut forearm and matching pistol grip stock, with fancy Fluer de Lis bordered fine checkering on the forearm, fluer de Lis flats and fancy bordered wrist checkering, brass and plastic grip cap and solid Pachmayr Old English recoil pad. The barrels are choked full/improved modified, back bored chambers without forcing cones and ejectors. Length of pull is 14 3/4 inches.

professionally embellished with 95% blue finish on the barrels showing some wear from the forearm and a few small areas of minor pitting. The remaining blue parts retain all of the finish. The action and side plates retain 95% case colors. All of the gold remains. The engraving remains sharp. The wood is very fine with a couple of minor scratches on the stock and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. A very nice custom upgraded Parker Bros. DHE Grade shotgun.
