This is an excellent example of a Colt Single Action Army revolver manufactured in 1926. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of the front and back strap under the grip. The rear face of the matching cylinder is stamped with the last three numbers of the serial number, "188". The loading gate is marked with the assembly number "908". Blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer, and fitted with two piece stag grips. Complete in a rosewood case with red velvet "French" fitted lining.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original blue finish with some very minor muzzle wear and some wear and flaking on the back strap, with a brown patina on the exposed metal. The cylinder shows a faint drag line and a few small minor cycling scratches. The hammer and frame retain 98% original bright case colors. The period custom stag grips are excellent. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent. The case is excellent few a few minor scratches on the exterior.
