This exceptional example of a 2nd Generation Single Action Army Revolver was manufactured in 1960. The barrel has the one line Hartford address stamped on the top with the caliber marking on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two line, three date patent marking followed by the Rampant Colt trademark. The left side of the trigger guard has the Colt VP proof and the letter "P" with an additional letter "P" on the right side. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the left side of the grip straps under the grip. The inside of each grip panel is marked "124". Assembly number "63" is stamped on the loading gate and rear of the frame on the right side. Fitted with checkered Rampant Colt embossed grips. Complete with the original factory black hinged lid box numbered to the gun.

Near mint in original box. The revolver retains virtually all of the blue finish and case colors with only the slightest handling marks. Much of the metal surfaces retain the original grease. The grips are also near mint with only the slightest handling marks and sharp checkering. The box is excellent with separation of a single lid corner, and some corner wear.
