According to the included factory letter, this pistol was one of 7 shipped to the Missoula Mercantile Company of Missoula, Montana on 20 February 1902. The letter confirms the finish, barrel length and "Stub type" hammer. Blade front sight and sight safety converted fixed rear sight, with front serrations, two line, two block address and caliber markings on the left side of the slide and caliber on the right. With checkered "COLT" banner grips.

Very good, with 20% of the original blue finish, showing areas of gray patina, mild scratches and handling marks. Grips are fine, with a few minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
