The left side of the barrel lug is marked "THE/CARTRIDGE/BRAND" above a profile of a cartridge. The solid rib is marked "CHARLES LANCASTER, 15L NEW BOND ST, LONDON". British proofs are present on the barrel and cylinder and the rear of the cylinder has the number "97". The barrel has been shortened with the muzzle having been crowned. Fitted with a one piece checkered varnished grip.

Very good as period refurbished. The revolver retains traces of blue finish in the protected areas with the balance a smooth brown patina. The revarnished grip is fine with some very scattered minor pressure dents. Overall the checkering remains crisp. Mechanically fine.
