Description:

This rifle was introduced in 1955 and is basically a scoped model of the successful K31 straight pull rifle. The top of the chamber is marked with the "Swiss Cross". These rifles were all equipped with a one-piece scope mount and 3.5 power Swiss sniper scope. The top of the scope is marked "3672/KERN AAPAU/V=3.5/star =75 0/00". The left side of the receiver has the integral scope bases as part of the receiver. These come standard with a 25 3/4 inch barrel that is fitted with a Swiss designed muzzle break/bayonet lug/front sight and the rear sight is the military tangent style graduated from "1-15" (100-1,500 meters). There is an integral folding bipod mounted about mid stock, ahead of the magazine. The rifle has a one piece hand guard and pistol grip stock both made from indigenous hardwood, with checkered grip area and short finger grooves on the sides of the stock. Complete with a correct leather sling and gray painted scope can numbered to the scope. The barrel is import marked.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 90% plus of the original blued finish overall with wear on all the edges and high spots, with some thinning on the receiver and finish loss on the exposed section of the barrel. The stock and hand guard are both in very fine condition overall with 90% of the stock finish remaining, showing even honest wear with handling marks, light pressure dents in various places and a 1 inch long minor crack starting at the rear of the hand guard. The rifle and scope have matching numbers to include the scope can.
