Description:

Produced in the 1920s and 30s, the Handy Gun was marketed as an inexpensive and effective way of dealing with varmints at close ranges. Sales of the H&R, "Handy Gun" and similar weapons, were severely restricted with the implementation of the 1934 National Firearms Act. It has an 8 inch round barrel with single bead front sight, that is marked on top, "MADE IN U.S.A. 410 GA.CHOKE". The right side of the frame has the two line address, with, "H.&R. "HANDY GUN" on the left. Fitted with a smooth forearm and a checkered pistol grip stock, with a finger rest trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing the start of a brown patina on the trigger guard and some light handling marks overall. The frame is very good, with some mild scratches and fine color. Grips are excellent, with a few light dents. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This item is currently registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as a National Firearms Act (NFA) weapon, and has been classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR 478.11.
