Manufactured in Japan, this Classic features a fixed front sight and adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The left side of the barrel is marked "U.S. REPEATING ARMS CO., NEW HAVEN CT. U.S.A./MADE IN JAPAN" and "WINCHESTER/LICENSEE". The receiver is scroll engraved with simple gold bordering and gold inlayed game animals in wooded mountain scenes. The hammer and front portion of the lever are also scroll engraved. Tang safety and extra fancy checkered forearm with a metal forend cap and pistol grip stock with a metal grip cap and metal crescent buttplate. Only 1,000 of these rifles were made with the gold accents on the receiver. Complete with original box numbered to gun.

Excellent with some areas of freckling on the barrel and spotting on the action. Wood is excellent. Box is good.
