Manufactured in 1941 (at the outbreak of U.S. entrance into WWII). The left side of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1903 and 1918 patent dates, the left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN", the left side of the slide "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is marked on the front strap and the upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the letter "T" over the Colt "VP" triangle proof, with "23" on the opposite. Elevation adjustable front blade and windage adjustable rear sights, serrated trigger, horizontal serrated panel on the back strap, (indicating designed for high velocity ammunition), two tone Colt marked magazine and fitted with extended plastic checkered grips with the "COLT/Rampant Colt" in a circle at the top.

Excellent. The pistol retains 98% plus original blue finish with some very minor muzzle and high edge wear, and a small amount of very minor pitting on the front, lower right edge of the slide. The grips are also excellent. Sharp markings and excellent mechanics.
