Description:

Manufactured between 1863 and 1865. Dovetail blade front sight and hammer groove rear sight. Standard "STARR. ARMS. CO. NEW. YORK." address on left the side of frame and "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15, 1856" on the right. Serial numbers match on the front of the barrel lug, on the cylinder and "39" visible in the hammer cutout on the frame. There is a "M" inspection mark on some components. Fitted with a one-piece varnished walnut grip with a clear boxed script cartouche on the bottom of each side.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 30% plus of the original blue finish mixed with smooth brown patina. There is some scattered minor oxidation. The grip is also fine with a few small dings on the bottom and overall a few minor dings and handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
