The top barrel flat is marked "PATENTED DEC. 17 1861/MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ILION. N.Y." The left side of the barrel and frame are marked "CW" and "WC" respectively with "J" on the silver plated trigger guard and "WW" on the cylinder. Matching serial number on barrel and frame with the letter "S" stamped ahead of the barrel serial number. Fitted with replacement grips.

Good. The revolver has a mottled gray patina showing some minor pitting. The custom grips are good as they are ill-fitting and showing some age cracking along the grain. Mechanically fine.
