Description:

Measuring 47 inches in overall length, this is a large model of a scabbard 1850 Staff & Field sword, copper or bronze construction, forged in 2 pieces, showing fine details such as the leather seam on the rear face of the scabbard, the cut through engraving on the guard and the simulated sword knot around the grip. A pair of solid rings are attached to the suspension band, suitable for hanging. The original use of this item is a display piece for a firm which sold swords and military gear to officers.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The scabbard has a period repaired copper panel welded around the center. A mixed dark attractive aged patina is visible overall. A fantastic piece of American signage.
