Description:

Measuring 31 1/2 inches in overall length, with a 1.67 inch bore, 2.1 inch diameter trunnions, the cannon lacks visible makers or weight marks though appears sized as a 2-pounder. Three separate coatings of enamel paint have been applied, light tan bordering on off-white on top, then orange, and then a dark gray, with a wide decorative front band and ribs ahead of and behind the touchhole. A similar paint job, four layers deep, is present on the carriage, showing black over orange over green over gray, measuring 18 inches wide and 27 inches long, with a set of solid metal wheels, a pair of metal bars connecting the side panels, and raised column patterns on either side of the trunnion mounts.

Rating Definition:

Good, with attractively age old painted finish concentrated towards the breech, flaking off in layers with some mild spotting and roughness on the exposed areas. Carriage is in similar condition, with more finish in the protected areas.
