Top of receiver ring is marked "ce/41" with the visible numbers matching. Eagle firing and eagle/37 proofs are present. The tangent rear sight is graduated from 1 to 20. The left side of the barrel is stamped "DS". Laminated upper handguard and pistol grip stock with a faint Heer proof on the right side of the buttstock and fitted with a cupped buttplate. Comes with a leather sling.

Very good as partially refurbished. The rifle retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The stock is very fine with a few minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent. Still, a solid matching numbers representative example of a WWII 98K.
