Manufactured in 1885 and subsequently custom engraved and altered. The barrel has been shortened to 3 1/2 inches and the revolver has been nicely engraved with floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel, frame and cylinder flats. There is a star burst on the trigger guard and a shell design on the recoil shield and loading gate. The sides of the top strap have a zigzag and dot design. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address and the left side of the frame has the three line, three patent date marking. The matching serial number is on the bottom of the frame and trigger guard with the assembly number "922" on the loading gate. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, all nickel finish and fitted with a relief engraved Tiffany grip with a relief eagle motif butt cap. The bottom of the grip under the cap is marked ""TIFFANY/AND/CO". The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, 4 3/4" barrel and blue finish at the time of shipment, grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 134 to E.C. Meacham Arms Co., St. Louis, Mo. on April 21, 1885. Complete with a Colt Heritage box with unmarked end label.

Custom embellished and modified to storekeeper configuration with 99% of the nickel finish remaining, with a light cylinder drag line and a few minor scuffs. The grip is excellent and fits very well to the gun. The markings are clear and the engraving crisp. The action is excellent.
