Manufactured in 1902 and subsequently professionally engraved and modified to sheriff model configuration. The barrel has been shortened to its present length and the revolver features floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel, frame, cylinder flats and back strap, with a starburst design on the trigger guard and a shell pattern on the recoil shield and loading gate. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address, "45 COLT" on the left side and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap (re-numbered). Replacement blade front, frame notch rear sights, all nickel finish and fitted with smooth two-piece pearl grips. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length of 4 3/4 inches and blue finish at time of shipment, grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 2 to Lee Hardware Co. Shreveport, La., c/o W.M. Glenn on September 4, 1902.

Professionally custom embellished and modified to ejectorless configuration with 98% of the nickel finish remaining which is beginning to frost in some areas. There is some minor pitting under the finish on the hammer. The custom pearl grips are slightly oversized and are as new. The action functions but needs work, the timing is off. The engraving and markings are clear.
